Quotes of the week
The big news from the Office this week is that a certain crew member will be making his second appearance on the hallow'd Wembley turf!
After his stunning debut last season, Baby Elvis has (amazingly) been asked back to the home of football to stand between the sticks and attempt to save some more pens.
His cat-like skills will once again be put to the test during half-time of England's friendly against the Czech Republic and we just hope he puts in a better performance than he did in our weekly ideas meeting!
As usual he will be kitted out in his Elvis gear, although some of us reckon he would probably do better if he was wearing a fluorescent orange kit like Petr Cech's.
Apparently it puts strikers off their aim and Bobbie, for one, admitted that he loved wearing fluorescent clothing.
"I just feel more confident in it", he told us. "I feel big in it." I think the less we say about that the better!
You know it's the summer holidays when there's more work experience kids than actual employees in the office as well!
There's been an influx of the eager beavers and we all would have had our own little personal assistants if it wasn't for Lisa, who in the nicest possible way, sent them all packing - something about not enough work for them to do... really?
The Olympics band wagon has also steamed through the office in the last few days and Baby Elvis was the first to jump on as he revealed that Usain Bolt's performance in the 100 meters final 'was the most amazing thing I've ever seen'.
In truth it was very impressive, but was it as impressive as seeing not one, but two perfect hat-tricks at the weekend?
Both Gabriel Agbonlahor and Billy Sharp showed their prowess in front of goal by scoring with their left foot, right foot and head and we reckon Agbonlahor may have even broken a Premier League record for a perfect hat-trick having done it in just seven minutes.
Meanwhile, Tom spent Sunday at the V Festival where as well as seeing some great bands he spotted a certain Mrs Rooney, who was apparently having a ball of a time.
But being the caring soul that he is he obviously had the crew's health on his mind too because he came back this week and suggested that we all take part in a Duathlon!
Now it's fair to say that a few of us could do with a bit of exercise, (Chris has been getting quite a lot of stick about the size of his gut!) and Tom did his best to sell it to us.
"We could do the fun one", he told us. "It's a 5km run, 10km bike ride and then another 5km run."
We're struggling to see where the 'fun' part comes into this!
See you next week.
