A year older and a year wiser... that's not always the case when one of us celebrates our birthdays. And it's definitely not the case when Tubes normally celebrates his!

But turning 28 has obviously hit him harder than we thought. We were all out on Saturday night to help him party the night away, but the next morning he was actually applauded for his good behaviour!

Despite our best efforts there wasn't a slurred word in earshot and by midnight a few of us were starting to get a bit worried:

"It was about 12 and everyone kept coming up to me saying 'you're doing alright aren't ya!?'" the lyrical genius explained.

"Then the next morning my girlfriend actually applauded me for not getting into a state!"

Unfortunately one crew member was too busy to notice Tubes (possibly) turning a new leaf. For legal reasons we can't name him but we can reveal he spent the night in the corner snogging the pants off one of Lavvers' mates!

"Honestly he was in the corner with her for about three hours!" said Tom. "He was so busy he didn't even realise I was there! I had to tell him on Monday."

Lavvers, meanwhile, also had reason to be cheerful as he made the most of his birthday on Monday by heading to Leicester Square for a film premiere with the rest of us!

Matt Berry and Jonny Owen were on the orange sofas earlier this season to talk about their new film; 'A Bit of Tom Jones', and were kind enough to invite us down to watch it.

And Bobbie in particular came out raving about the comedy:

Meanwhile, Chris has revealed his wedding plans are coming along nicely, but he's just as excited about the FA Cup fifth round draw!

The Saints fan took a fair bit of stick off the Pompey boys in the Luther Blissett stand a couple of weeks ago, and he can't wait for February 13th when the south coast clubs go toe-to-toe!

"I honestly reckon we'll do them," he said "We've been spending like mad, albeit it on League 1 players... but still."

Chris attempted to convince Simon there was some logic to what he was saying but lost all credibility when he followed up with a story about a curry he had the other night.
