Mummy's boys
The crew earn some serious brownie points
Last updated: 17th March 2010
I only spent a fiver in the end and that was on the card, but I forgot that at home. It was a bit of a lame effort really.

Quotes of the week
Mums up and down the country were being spoiled rotten on Sunday and even we managed to pull our fingers out!
Brownie points were being handed out left, right. and centre according to everyone in the office, with the majority of us sticking to the tried and tested formula of flowers cards, and a nice dinner.
Bobbie was particularly proud of making his mum cry - albeit tears of joy - when the flowers arrived at her house, and was even more excited about the fact he had spent more than the rest of us (£45) on a bouquet.
"Yes! I love my mum the most!" he said punching the air.
Voucher
In stark contrast James proved you can't measure love in monetary terms as he took his mum out for a slap up meal using a two for one voucher!
"I only spent a fiver in the end and that was on the card, but I forgot that at home. It was a bit of a lame effort really."
He wasn't the only one with problems though. Tubes thought he had everything sorted until he sat down to write his card and realised he had bought a 'Dear Nan on Mother's Day' one instead!
With time against him, the fleet-footed lyrical genius quickly rectified the situation, earning double brownie points in the process...
"It was about 2.30pm and my mum was coming around at 3pm so I had to run back to the newsagents again before she got there.
"My Nan turned up with her, so it turned out alright in the end because they both got a card!"
SuperBad
Away from Mother' Day and all the talk in the office has been about two things, David Beckham and Christopher Mintz-Plasse... aka McLovin from Superbad!
An unlikely combination we agree, but the thought of McLovin being in the studio this Saturday has cheered everyone up after the news that Goldenballs will miss the World Cup.
The La Galaxy and AC Milan star's dream of becoming the first England player to appear at four World Cups was shattered after he snapped his Achilles tendon at the weekend, and Steve in particular was distraught.
"I can't believe people are saying we won't miss him," he began. "He's such a good player. I'm devastated."
To cheer us up the conversation soon turned to McLovin and everyone had a good chuckle at some of the lines from Superbad.
That, coupled with the fact that we think he is a dead ringer for a member of the crew, means we can't wait for Saturday!
We reckon he looks like one of the boys so much that we've even put it up on the 'bant board'! It shouldn't be too hard to work out, but if you need a clue, this guy loves bant!
See you on Saturday!
