Suits you, sir!

William Hunt and Nicky Clarke transform the lyrical genius

Suits you, sir!
I must have scrubbed up ok because the overall verdict from everyone was a thumbs up, including Alesha!

Quotes of the week

So there's only one place to start this week and that is of course with the very fit Alesha Dixon.

If you saw the show on Saturday, or read last week's diary, you'll probably know that I had a bit of makeover.

It wasn't anything too dramatic, but I wanted to make a good impression so I drafted in a bit of professional help in the form of Nicky Clarke and William Hunt, and they both did a brilliant job!

They even turned up on Saturday to add a couple of finishing touches, which was really good of them.

I must have scrubbed up ok because the overall verdict from everyone was a thumbs up, including Alesha! I'm not sure where that leaves us on the whole date thing now but it couldn't have hurt! And if nothing else I got the best suit in the world out of it!

I was tempted to wear it down Balham High Street after the show, but thought better of it! A suit that good should only be come out for special occasions.

Instead, I headed off to play football for Wearside Rovers with the rest of the boys. I'd missed the last couple of games because I went to watch Chelsea instead, but it was great to be back.

We won 4-3 and I bagged a couple and got an assist too - the perfect start to the weekend.

Chelsea then put an even bigger smile on my face as Anelka mimicked my own performance with a brace against West Brom.

I'm chuffed to bits that he's doing so well because I was convinced from the start that he would be a great signing for us. He's a world class player and eight goals in his last five games is proof of that.

The rest of my weekend consisted of a celebration of birthdays. First up was a mate's bash in a nightclub in Kingston. And then on Sunday I went out for a very pleasant meal to celebrate my Nan's birthday. She's pretty old now, but she's still rocking it!

Monday has become a bit of golf day for me and my brother. If I'm honest my game is still pretty hit or miss... literally! But my brother is just getting better and better. Definitely the next Tiger Woods!

The only other thing to report this week is that Dave Morriss is the king of dizzy penalties! Only eight people turned up for 5-aside on Tuesday so we decided to spin each other around and take penalties instead.

It's not actually as easy as it sounds though... unless your name is Dave Morriss that is!

Later,

Tubes answers your questions...

You're a great bloke and a nice guy, but what I want to know is, if you could meet anyone, dead or alive who would it be and what would your rap be?
Luke Carroll (Manchester United fan)

TUBES REPLIES: Well other than Vanilla Ice, the two greatest rappers of all time are Biggie and Tupac so it would have to be one of them. I think my rap would go something like this: I'm chilling with Biggie and Tupac, if I don't spit these lyrics I'll get the sack!

Tubes, who do you think is more of a legend; Ian Wright or Chris Kamara?
Chaz Loll (Arsenal fan)

TUBES REPLIES: Ian Wright was on the show last season and was great value, but Chris Kamara is definitely a legend! I see him around Sky a fair bit and he always brightens up my day!

Tubes, I love your work and i want to know this; what footballer would you say you are most like?
Jamie Gilbert (West Ham United fan)

TUBES REPLIES: I think I would be a cross between Matt Le Tissier and Jan Molby. They both carried a bit of weight, but they also both had unbelievable vision and could always pick a pass!
