The model son
Blues don't keep Tubes down

We were getting a few funny looks as we crossed the Common, but I put that down to the fact I looked a bit like Pete Sampras or Andre Agassi in their prime.

Quotes of the week
It's been a good week all things considered.
I say all things considered because of what happened at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, but we'll come back to that.
We had a great show on Saturday and things only got better when I went to see Chelsea beat West Ham. It was a massive three points in the title race because I knew Man Utd and Arsenal would win too, so it was important to keep the pressure on them.
Title race aside and it's always great to see your side score four goals, especially when it's against one of your neighbours!
Sunday was all about Mother's Day, but I nearly made a mess of things after buying a card which said 'For Nan on Mother's Day'!
Luckily I had just enough time to get down to the shops and back again before my mum turned up, but I'm sure that wouldn't have gone down too well!
I took her to a nice little Italian place in Balham which was quality. Naturally I footed the bill like any good son would, which was fine except for the fact that I walked past the same place on Monday and they were putting a massive sign up which said 'half price Sun - Thurs'!
That was a bit annoying, but not as bad Clapham Council who made me look like a
right plumb on Monday!
Tennis
It was a beautiful day in London so me and my mate Charlie decided to play a bit of Tennis on the common.
We called up beforehand to book a court but it just kept ringing out so we thought we'd chance our arm.
I got my shorts and my tracksuit top on, grabbed my girlfriend's flash racket and off we went. We were getting a few funny looks as we crossed the Common, but I put that down to the fact I looked a bit like Pete Sampras or Andre Agassi in their prime.
It wasn't until we got all the way to the other end that we realised they were tearing down the whole place to make new ones! The walk back was even worse; it was like the walk of shame!
I was feeling so restless by Tuesday, that for the first time ever I got into work early and went to the gym. I'm not sure it will become a regular thing but I definitely felt better for doing it.
Sorrows
Unfortunately all that hard work went down the drain later that night as I had to drown my sorrows after watching Chelsea go out of the Champions League to Inter Milan.
I'm gutted to be honest, but the truth is we just didn't play well enough. Inter got their tactics right and it helps when you've got Wesley Sneijder in your team - he was brilliant.
How Real Madrid came to the conclusion that he was surplus to requirements is mind boggling. I don't have a lot of time for that club, because to me they run it the same way you or me would in Championship Manager with the cheat on!
Having pretty much unlimited funds doesn't mean you should just buy players for the sake of it, and that's what seems to happen ever year - ridiculous!

Tubes answers your questions
Tubesy! Alrite lad, my one question and one question only for you is what would you put in your favourite sandwich?.Tony Reynolds (Tottenham Hotspur fan)
Tubes replies:Tubesy? That's affectionate Tony! What I would go for my friend is chicken and sweet corn with mayonnaise, onions and jalapeños in a baguette. I had that in the canteen the other day and it was delicious. The jalapeños really give it a kick!
Tubes, long time reader first time poster! I'm sure it hasn't escaped your attention that there's a massive game on Sunday at Old Trafford, but who do you reckon will win?Greg McCarthy (Liverpool fan)
Tubes replies:I'd like to say Liverpool Greg, because Chelsea could do with Man Utd dropping some points, but I can't see it happening. I think the most Liverpool can hope for is a draw, but I wouldn't put money on it.
