The dark side

I'd take Wembley over Twickenham everyday

The dark side
There was no shouting and cheering, just ripples of applause, and you can forget about anyone jumping up in front of you and swearing at the screen.

Quotes of the week

My weekend kicked off on Saturday afternoon as usual, and it turned out to be an interesting day.

We had a good show in the morning with Glenn Roeder, Scroobius Pip and of course Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin) and they were all great value.

If I'm honest I've never seen Superbad or Role Models, so I was expecting McLovin to be a bit younger. He was a good laugh though and like most of the American actors who've been on he was happy to get involved with the banter.

After the show I went to play football (albeit badly as we lost 1-0) before, I'm sorry to have to admit, I turned to the dark side for the afternoon!

Don't worry I haven't traded in a round ball for an egg shaped one just yet, but I did go to the pub to watch England - France.

I'm not going to lie to you, I'm not a fan of rugby but my mate's girlfriend suggested we all go along to watch it and I had nothing better to do. I couldn't tell you what happened in the game though, other than the fact that England lost, because I spent more time watching everyone around me.

I know I'm not breaking any new ground by telling you how different rugby fans are to football... but they really are!

I found the whole atmosphere a bit weird really. There was no shouting and cheering, just ripples of applause, and you can forget about anyone jumping up in front of you and swearing at the screen. The last one's probably no bad thing, but I'd still take Wembley over Twickenham any day of the week!

Cleanse

To cleanse myself after the rugby I watched Chelsea draw with Blackburn on Sunday and I can't say it put me in a great mood.

That said the title race is still very much in our own hands, especially after thumping Pompey 5-0 on Wednesday. A point behind Man Utd isn't the worst position to be in when we've still got to go to Old Trafford, but I don't think we can afford anymore slip-ups.

Away from football and I was relieved to find out that the noise coming from downstairs wasn't a little 'balhamite' breaking into my house on Sunday night, but the washing machine breaking.

Unfortunately it meant waiting around all day on Monday for my landlord, Mr Ishmael, to come around to have a look at it.

He finally rocked up at 6.30pm, asked me how I broke it and thirty seconds later him and his heavy were out the door without even looking at it!

To be fair to him he did replace it the next day, but I'm still not sure why we couldn't have just had that conversation over the phone!

Anyway, at least I can get my whites sparkling again!

Tubes answers your questions

Now then Tubes. My question for you is...will you be sending/receiving a Christmas card from/to Steve Coogan this year Lol! And was he as bad off camera as he was on it?.James Lund (Leeds United fan)

Tubes replies:Well James I can reveal he was even worse off camera! The man was an absolute peanut! He was so rude and arrogant, but I don't think it was personal because he was like that with everyone. It's a good thing Alan Partridge was funny because I don't think he'd have any friends otherwise.

Tubes...which famous person do you think you are most like and why?Simon Rudd (Norwich Cityl fan)

Tubes replies:Tough one Simon... Nicky Weaver because Steve reckons I look like him!

Have you got one question and one question only for Tubes!? Ask the lyrical genius anything you want in the comments section below and he'll answer the best ones next week!
