Wallace: sweet tooth

Gregg Wallace dropped by the Soccer AM studios on Saturday to decide who should be crowned Soccer AM MasterChef!

Helen, Max and Lavvers were the only members of the team brave enough to have a professional taste their work.

And each of them presented the MasterChef judge with their speciality deserts before waiting nervously for his decision.

Lavvers has been perfecting his doughnuts recipe over the last few weeks, testing it out on the rest of the crew with mixed results! Despite receiving some stinging criticism for the likes of Steve and James he put faith in Jamie Oliver's recipe to bring home the coveted award.

Hells Bells spent her Friday night slaving over a hot stove to produce a sticky toffee chocolate banana cake, while Max went for the easy option... Angel Delight in a pint glass!

Wallace, who makes no secret of his love for all foods sweet, eagerly tucked into the three offerings, before deliberating over his final decision with fellow judge John Barnes.

It's fair to say one of the three didn't dishes didn't exactly go down too well, with Wallace describing it as a "big and heavy" before adding "cooking's not really your forte is it!"
